At this year’s SEO Awards Dinner, our Co-Founder, José E. Feliciano, was honored with the Michael W. Osheowitz SEO Founder’s Award in recognition of his leadership in global investing and his commitment to expanding opportunity through philanthropy.

SEO (Sponsors for Educational Opportunity) was founded by investment banking consultant Michael W. Osheowitz as a mentoring program to help students gain admission to competitive colleges and universities. Today, its Annual Awards Dinner serves as the organization’s signature gathering, bringing together more than a thousand sponsors, partners, alumni, and supporters for an evening of celebration, connection, and investment in SEO’s mission.

José was recognized not only for his leadership and impact across business and philanthropy but also for the intentional way he continues to show up for the next generation. For more than a decade, he has supported SEO’s mission through mentorship, engagement with fellows and candidates, and meaningful participation across the organization’s programs and initiatives.

Throughout the night, SEO Scholars reminded us why this work matters. Their stories, ambition, and presence were a powerful reflection of the impact of the SEO Community and the importance of continuing to invest in future leaders.
